Essential Freestanding Wooden X Cross

Essential Freestanding Wooden X Cross

The Essential Freestanding Wooden X Cross is a minimalist, full-size wooden X-frame designed around simplicity, stability and classic construction.

Built from two substantial solid-wood beams, the frame creates the distinctive St. Andrew’s Cross silhouette while avoiding the additional upholstery and complex components found on our premium models.

Solid Wood Construction

The main structure consists of two heavy timber beams joined at the center to create a rigid X-shaped frame.

The dark stained finish preserves the visible grain, knots and natural characteristics of the timber, giving every piece a slightly different appearance.

Natural variations in wood grain and coloration are expected and make each cross unique.

Freestanding Floor Base

Unlike permanently wall-mounted designs, the Essential X incorporates its own floor-standing support system.

A wide wooden base combined with a rear stabilizing structure supports the main frame and allows the cross to function as a dedicated freestanding piece.

This configuration also makes installation considerably more flexible than a permanently mounted alternative.

Four Primary Attachment Points

Four substantial metal attachment points are positioned toward the ends of the X-frame.

Their symmetrical placement provides clearly defined upper and lower attachment locations while keeping the overall design clean and uncluttered.

Additional secondary hardware may be incorporated depending on the selected configuration.

Minimalist Design

The Essential series intentionally removes unnecessary decorative components.

There is no large upholstered center section, oversized surrounding frame or complicated modular structure.

Instead, the design focuses on three elements:

• substantial timber construction
• classic X-frame geometry
• functional metal hardware

The result is one of the simplest and most accessible full-size crosses in our collection.

Natural Timber Finish

Each wooden component is prepared, sanded and finished individually.

The stain emphasizes the natural grain rather than completely covering it, creating a warmer and more handcrafted appearance than painted or composite alternatives.

Variations in grain, knots, texture and stain absorption are natural characteristics of real timber.

Straightforward Construction

One of the defining characteristics of the Essential X is its intentionally straightforward construction.

The simplified architecture reduces unnecessary components while maintaining the imposing proportions of a full-size freestanding X-frame.

It is an ideal choice for customers who prefer traditional wooden construction over heavily upholstered or mechanically complex furniture.

Easy-to-Understand Assembly

The primary structure is designed around a limited number of major components, making transportation and final assembly more practical than many larger furniture designs.

Depending on destination and shipping method, the product may arrive partially disassembled.

Required structural hardware is supplied with the selected configuration.

Classic Appearance

The combination of dark timber, exposed grain and metal hardware gives the Essential X a traditional handcrafted character.

Its minimalist construction allows it to work equally well as a standalone centerpiece or alongside other pieces from a larger collection.
