Obsidian X – Freestanding Black Aluminium St. Andrew’s Cross

Obsidian X – Freestanding Black Aluminium St. Andrew’s Cross

The Obsidian X is a freestanding St. Andrew’s Cross designed around a clean, modern and distinctly industrial aesthetic.

Unlike traditional wooden crosses, this model uses a black aluminium construction, creating a more contemporary appearance while keeping the structure visually minimal. From the front it presents the classic X silhouette, while the rear incorporates a dedicated support structure and wide floor base for freestanding installation.

The completely black finish allows the Obsidian X to integrate naturally into modern BDSM rooms, private studios and purpose-designed interiors.

Key Features

• Black aluminium construction
• Classic St. Andrew’s Cross / X-frame design
• Freestanding structure — no permanent wall mounting required
• Reinforced rear support
• Wide floor-standing base
• Multiple attachment positions distributed along the frame
• Integrated metal hardware
• Suitable for different cuff and restraint configurations
• Minimalist industrial appearance
• Easy-to-clean surfaces
• Designed as a permanent or semi-permanent piece of BDSM furniture

Multi-Point Configuration

Multiple mounting positions along all four arms allow accessories to be positioned according to the desired setup.

Compatible accessories may include:

• Wrist cuffs
• Ankle cuffs
• Straps
• Chains
• Carabiners
• Additional compatible restraint accessories

This provides significantly more configuration flexibility than a cross with only four fixed attachment points.

Freestanding Design

One of the defining characteristics of the Obsidian X is its independent support system.

Instead of requiring the main cross to be permanently fixed to a wall, the rear structure transfers the load toward a broad floor base. This also makes the product easier to position within a dedicated room or studio.

Modern Industrial Aesthetic

The combination of the geometric X silhouette, exposed hardware and monochrome black aluminium gives the Obsidian X a deliberately architectural appearance.

It is designed not only as functional BDSM furniture but also as a visually dominant centerpiece for a dedicated interior.

Estimated Dimensions

Approximate dimensions may vary depending on production configuration:

• Height: 210–220 cm
• Width: 120–135 cm
• Base depth: 90–110 cm
• Frame profile: approximately 8–12 cm

Final dimensions and hardware configuration can be adapted according to production requirements.

Finish

The aluminium structure features a deep black finish, including the rear support assembly, creating a consistent appearance when viewed from either side.

Metal attachment hardware provides contrast while maintaining the industrial character of the design.
